My Grandfather drove a Laundry Truck back between the years 1910-1920 to Ft. Leavenworth Federal Prison. Don't know how long he did this for, but trying to track information on him. Could anyone tell me how I could track him or if they kept any records of a Laundry Company that came in and out of the Federal Prison? Julia Schmitz
To the best of my knowledge the Federal Prison always did their own laundry. The only laundry, in Leavenworth, that I can remember would have been Bell Laundry; however, they have been out of business for a lot of years. You might try contacting the FOIA officer at the Bureau of Prisons. WWW.BOP.GOV. You could give your grand fathers name in your search. You never know, someone may know him or his people ----- Original Message ----- From: "Julia Schmitz" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2003 4:53 PM Subject: [KSLEAVEN] Help > My Grandfather drove a Laundry Truck back between the years 1910-1920 to Ft. > Leavenworth Federal Prison.
