    3. Hi, I have been a member of this list for a while but haven't posted anything in a while.....my Brick Wall in Leavenworth County are: My husband's 3x's ggrandmother, Margaret DOUGAN LONG (b. 1827 in Fayette County, PA, married Hiram Long in 1846 in Connellsville, Fayette County, PA, died 1873 in, I believe, Leavenworth County, KS.) I have located Margaret Long (age 43, b. PA) in the 1870 Stranger Township, Leavenworth County census living with her children George Oscar (age 22, b. PA), Georgiana Belle (age 20, b. PA), John (age 19, b. PA--My husband's ancestor), Joseph (age 17, b. PA), Hiram (age 13, b. PA), Maggie (Mary Margaret--age 7, b. PA), and William (age 5, b. KS). I have a copy of a family record that was written by Margaret Long's granddaughter that lists birth and death dates of Margaret Long, her husband, Hiram (who died in Fayette County, PA in 1865--Margaret and her children moved to Leavenworth County, KS after his death) and her children. I have proven! most of what is in the journal pertaining to Margaret Dougan Long and some of her children...... Margaret Long had a sister, Catharine Dougan Beck (b. 1833 Fayette county, PA, married Beverlin Beck by 1860 in Ft. Leavenworth, KS, died 1927 the Kansas Masonic Home, Wichita, KS.) Catharine Dougan Beck was a Civil War nurse at Ft. Leavenworth and is buried in Mt. Muncie Cemetary, Leavenworth, KS....but I find no trace of her sister, Margaret, buried there. I am looking for any information on the death and burial of Margaret Dougan Long....Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for your time! Alison Bigbee
