Clarice Woodcox LEAVENWORTH -- Clarice M. Woodcox, 87, formerly of Leavenworth, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at an Orlando, Fla., care facility. She was born July 28, 1915, in Oakley, to William Floyd and Mary Buchheister Noble. She lived in Leavenworth more than 50 years before moving to Florida in 2001. Mrs. Woodcox was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Leavenworth and the Women's Circle at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, E.W. "Bud" Woodcox, in 1989, and a son, Keith A. Woodcox, in 1978. Survivors include a son, Larry G. Woodcox, Baytown, Fla.; a daughter, Mary Sue Woodcox Gausz, Maitland, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Leavenworth. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis Funeral Home in Leavenworth. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church and sent in care of the funeral home, 531 Shawnee, Leavenworth.
