WILLIAM TOLBERT LAWRENCE - William Wesley Tolbert, 44, Lawrence, a health care technician, died Friday, Sept. 20, 1991, at a Topeka hospital. He had cancer. He was born Sept. 26, 1946, in Leavenworth, the son of Gilbert and Hattie R. Wilson Tolbert. He attended Leavenworth public schools and was a Leavenworth High School graduate. Mr. Tolbert was a bone technician for the Cedar of Lebanon Hospital in Los Angeles for many years. He moved to Lawrence from Los Angeles five years ago. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors include his mother, Hattie Jordan, Lawrence; a daughter, Yvonne High, Fort Leavenworth; six brothers, Otis Johnson, San Antonio, Texas, Burcham and Delbert Tolbert, both of Leavenworth, and Claude, Charles and Louis Tolbert, all of Lawrence; two sisters, Ella Smith, Leavenworth, and Sarah Tolbert, Lawrence; and three grandsons. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A 2:30 p.m. graveside service will be held at the Leavenworth National Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Scully officiating. PS: If you want a copy of the article send me an S. A. S.
