I am searching for Jacob Service. He lived in Stranger Township in 1880 (census) with his wife, Matilda. Children living with them were: John and Rebecca Service. Grandchildren living with them: Murry Clinton, age 3, and May Saddo, age 3 months. Matilda had consumption and was in poor health. I have been unable to find Jacob and his family after 1880. Rebecca later spelled her name Surface; I have found the cemetery records for her, but I would like to trace Jacob and his wife and their ancestors. Is Stranger Township part of Tongonoxie (or vice versa)? Would there be any records in the Tongonoxie Library about Jacob or Matilda's deaths or burial? C. Henley Maryland
