Am new to the list and have another question. Are there published compilations of cemeteries for Leavenworth? I have visited the website where the cemeteries are all listed, but contents of each one weren't available. I am searching for one Mary E. or Mary Elizabeth (Porter) O'BRIEN who died, if not at the end of 1869, then shortly into 1870, along with a newborn child. I would presume she was Catholic - her husband Thomas M. O'Brien was raised Catholic in Baltimore. Whether he stayed with the church once they moved west in 1859, remains to be learned. She was alive on Aug. 6, 1869 to be served with a summons re the law suit, but she was NOT in the 1870 census in New Orleans with Thomas and their children.
