Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Road; entombment in Resurrec - tion Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Friends may call 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where the Rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 5960 Dearborn, Suite 100, Mission , KS 66202. Mrs. Cernich was born February 23, 1928, in Kansas City, KS, and lived in the Kansas City area all of her life. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Thomas Cernich , on December 9, 1996, and a brother, Bob Mahr. She leaves two sons, Thomas G. Cernich , Leawood, KS, and Kenneth J. Cernich , Overland Park, KS; three daughters, Susan Mulloy, Kansas City, MO, Theresa E. Newcomer, Topeka, KS, and Martha K. Cernich , Fairway, KS; four brothers, Bill Mahr, Shawnee, KS, Geary Mahr, Mission, KS, Frank Mahr, Jackson - ville, FL, and Jim Mahr, Overland Park, KS; and eight grandchildren. (Ar - rangements: Memorial Chapel of Olathe) THERESA M. CHAPMAN Theresa M. Chapman, 86, Cameron, MO, passed away Saturday, March 1, 1997, at a hospital in Cameron. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. Munchin's Catholic Church, Cameron; burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Cameron. A prayer vigil will be 7 p.m. Monday, at the Poland-Thompson Funeral Home in Cameron, followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cameron Nutrition Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 12, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, where friends may call 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Rosary said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa. Mr. Cernich was born December 5, 1928, in Kansas City, KS, living in the Kansas City area all his life. He worked for Flour Mills of America and Midwestern (Gar - nac) Grain Company. He became a member of the Kansas City Board of Trade in 1953, and was an independent Grain Trader since 1963, holding various committee positions, including the Vice Chairmanship, retiring in 1986. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Carriage Club and the Springs Golf Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. He leaves his wife, June Mahr Cernich , of the home; two sons, Thomas G. Cernich , Leawood, KS, and Kenneth J. Cernich , Overland Park, KS; three daughters, Susan Mulloy, Kansas City, MO, Theresa E. Newcomer, Topeka, KS, and Mart ha K. Cernich , Fairway, KS; and eight grandchildren.
