He is survived by his daughter, Priscilla Shopen, granddaughter Allison Shopen and niece Debi Kobos. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in Lawrence's memory to KC Hospice or HCC Benevolence Fund, in care of Hillcrest Covenant Church. A gathering of friends and family, in celebration of his life, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at Hillcrest Covenant Church, 8801 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, KS.
