Her funeral was largely attended at the home, services conducted by Rev. Mr Gillford of M E Church, with Judge J P Hindman, Dr Good, S R Rogers, Alex Leamer and F R Maltby, pallbearers, she was buried by the side of her husband, that preceeded her a few years, in the beautiful cemetery at Olatha. Mr and Mrs Houghland was two of the pioneer children of Barlow, that in early life identified themselves with the M E church and was known as its most active supporters; Mr Houghland for many years, filling the office of steward, class leader and Sabbath school Superintendent E H Palmer Marietta Times, Washington Co., Ohio Thursday March 13, 1890 John Houghland son of Cornelius and Ann Stalcop Houghland E H Palmer Eliza Harris Palmer son of Benjamin Franklin and Margaret Houghland Palmer dau of Cornelius Edmund McGinnis minster M E church m Polly Houghland dau of Cornelius John and Mary Proctor Houghland were guncle and aunt of my ggrand mother Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
