I am searching for anyone who knows about Jacob and Sarah Studebaker. In 1870 they lived in Willow Springs TWP in Douglas Co., KS and in 1880 they lived in in McCamish twp., in Johnson County. They had a girl living with them by the name of Ella Sowers, somtimes referred to as Ellen Sours. She was my Dad's aunt. She was left in Kansas with the Studebakers when the family headed back to Virginia ab out oct 1865. Her father died near Louisville, KY on the way back to VA. Am looking for any Studebakers who might have pictures and or information aout her before she married a Phillip Ensminger in Mar 1884. Also would like to find out if any of the Studebakers know any thing of her brother Samuel who died in Aug 1862 some where here in KS. I can to limited travel as am 79 and am not financially able to travel too far.
