Lucy Keeler, nee Fleming, is in my family tree. I have birth and living records of her until after the 1861 Census of Canada West, at which point she simply vanishes. Several findings on ancestry.com suggest that she married Julius Keeler (I don't know where) and they settled in Olathe, KS. The 1880 United States Census presents this couple and their children, showing data for Lucy that fits to almost to perfection (age is correct, place of birth is wrong, parents birth places are correct). I also have other items proving the connection. If there are descendents listening, please, i would like to get to know you. This research is primarily related to Stuessi family who originally moved from Missouri to the Wyandotte area of Kansas and most of the family either lived in Kansas or Missoui. I believe that Albert and Luella married in Kansas. A 1957 obit shows they were living in Mission, KS at that time. Carter born Jan 16, 1834 OH died Jan 21, 1899 KN and Angeline born Sept 1, 1833 OH died Jan 24, 1906. In the 1870 census there are two children listed Mary Jane age 15 and William age 12. I found a marriage record of a William Carter and Anna Cochran 24 Dec, 1878. he is listed as 20 yrs old, so he is the right age, of Olathe, Johnson county KN In 1900 Angeline has several grandchildren living with her Zill Carter age 11, Bessie Carter age 6 and Angeline Belle Thompson age 18, also there is her daughter in law Annie and an aunt Hester Stafford. thanks for any help with this family. Yes, I finally found his name on a cemetery transcription yesterday for Shawnee Cemetery, and through the help of a wonderful volunteer, he told me the plot and location for Daniel P. Showen in Pleasant View. The transcription I found for that cemetery had him as D P Shower, but the cemeteries are next to each other without a separation, so it's hard to tell which one you are in, from what I'm told.
