    3. The McLouth Times Jefferson County Friday July 15, 1949 Elizabeth Harker CAREY, daughter of William and Ida HARKER, was born the seventh day of March 1892, at McLouth, Kansas. She passed to her Eternal reward the first day of July, 1949, at the home, 4135 Campbell Street, Kansas City, Missouri. She spent her early years at McLouth. She was united in marriage with Orville R. Carey the tenth day of April, 1912. To this union two children were born, Harley E. Carey and Robert E. Carey. The family formerly lived at McLouth, Kansas but have resided in Kansas City for the last several years. Mrs. Carey was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Chruch, having become a member when a young girl. She was a member of the Alcione Chapter, No. 266, of the Order of Eastern Star, McLouth, Kansas. She was woman of rare charm and of great endurane and patience. She suffered instensley but bore it with Christian patience and hope. She was very appreciative of ministry in the home and enjoyed the fellowship of Christian people. She had a great faith in God and believed in the help and strength and grace that we receive from him. She has, we believe, gone to be with the Lord. Her spirit has been sanctified by suffering and her sould has returned to the Lord who gave it. "The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." Let us therefore come boldly unto a throne of Grace that we may obtain grace and deliverence for this hour. Her body is now at rest and awaits the final summons of Him who is the Resurrectoin and the Life and who is able to bring his loved ones home to the place of many mansions. Grace and peace unto the husband, sons, grandchildren, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, and all who mourn through Jesus Christ, our Lord. She is survived by her husband, Orville R.
