Misses Margaret and Marie WELLMAN of this community and Leland WELLMAN of Tibbott, are spending a few days this week at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank YOUNG and daughters of Holton, Kans. Mrs. J.W. FOX returned to her home Monday after being a patient at Lawrence Memorial hospital for several days. Friends here were so sorry to hear that Mr. and Mrs. W.H. RICE of Lawrence, both of whom are in the Lawrence Memorial hospital. Mrs. Rice, who suffered a stroke Wednesday morning, Mr. Rice who has been a patient at the hospital a week ago is suffering from a stomach ailment. Neither can have visitors. Their daughter, Mrs. Blackwell SMITH of Princeton, N.J., also their sons, William A. RICE and Richard Rice of Chicago, were called her by the illness of their parents.
