    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday December 29, 1910 At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. HISER, Dec. 18th, 1910, at high noon, Mr. H. Vernon WOODS, of Mt. Vernon, Mo., and Miss Velma Ellena FOWBLE, of Aurora, were united in marriage, Rev. R.W. Reynolds officiating. To the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Haddie Woods, sister of the groom, the bride entered, being escorted by her father. The groom met them at the alter where the bride was given away by her father. The bride was handsomely attired in a plum colored skirt and waist of cream silk net over cream silk and wore white taffeta silk ribbon in her hair. The groom wore the conventional black. The house decorations were lavender and white. After congratulations the guests were invited to the dining room where an excellent three course luncheon was served. The bride's cake was cut by the bride and groom. The afternoon was spent in a social way. They received some valuable and useful presents. Those present were the immediate relatives of the contracting parties.--Aurora Advertiser.
