The McLouth Times Friday June 24, 1949 Mr. and Mrs. Oce SHRADER were honored guests at a surprise dinner held at their home June 19. Near the noon hour relatives of both Mr. and Mrs. Shrader, arrived with well-filled baskets of food. The group spent the afternoon visiting in the shade of the stately old elm trees. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Tom BROWN, Mr. and Mrs. Bill CRUM and son, Mrs. Fannie SHRADER, Mrs. Viola READY of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Horace SMITH and daughters of Lawrence, Mr. and Mrs. Rural SLAWSON and son, Mrs. Maude DeLONG and Elston Delong of Topeka, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin RISE, Mr. and Mrs. Herb BOYD and Vernie, Mr. Ferg SLAWSON of Oskaloosa, Mr. and Mrs. Bill SHRADER and Robert Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin LOBB and son, Jimmie and Fannie Lou Lobb, Mrs. Alice SHRADER, Mr. and MRs. L.W. ROBERTS, and Bill Roberts of McLouth.
