The Oskaloosa Times Jefferson County Friday April 28, 1899 Peacefully She Sleeps. Miss Cordetia PEDIFORD, after a lingering illness, peacefully passed away, at the Salvation Army Hospital, in Topeka, April 21st. The remains were shipped to Valley Falls; funeral services at the German church north of the city, Sunday afternoon and interred in that cemetery. She was born in Bell Co., Ky., September 29th, 1871, and for the last few years made Valley Falls her home. She was a member of the Christian church here, and had many friends who will miss her. She leaves a mother, three sisters and three brothers in Texas, and her sister, Mrs. M. STUCKERT here, who mourn the loss of a beloved daughter and sister.
