The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday May 5, 1905 Run Down by an Automobile. At Boyle Sunday evening, Robt. BIDWELL's five year old boy, Mitchel, was hit by an automobile and knocked headlong onto the hard ground. Dr. J.M. Marks was called and was taken hurriedly to Boyle in Dr. Braden's car. The doctor found the boy suffering from the severe concussion of the head, blood oozing from his eyes, nose and ears. But the youth promptly revived from the almost fatal injuries and at last reports was recovering nicely. Mitchel, with his little brother, had run out in the road to watch a car go by, when a second car, which he did not see closely following the first struck him. Luckily only the fenders reached him.
