Sam JONES returned last Monday from Tonganoxie. J.W. COLLEY and wife visited last Sunday with Wm. WHITLEY and family near Newman. O.B. CARVER and Arthur WILSON were doing business at the county seat last Tuesday. Rev. John COPLEY of Manhattan visited last Tuesday and Wednesday with relatives in town. Jas. COLLEY, Wm. WHITLEY, and J.L. RAINES were transacting business in Oskaloosa last Wednesday. M.J. YOUNG of Topeka spent last Saturday morning in town with Mrs. J.P. KUNKLE and family. The Misses KUNKLE & CARSON tell us they they have sold and sent hats to ladies in Clay Center, Osage City and Topeka. Our millinery stores in Perry are quite an improvement to our little burg. Stolen from Jas. GRINTER last Monday night, one saddle number 10, made by Chas. P. Shipley, Kansas City Stock Yard Harness company. Spur marks on back part of leather seat. Twenty dollars reward for return of saddle. Mrs. Geo. DIXSON and Mrs. Jasper WILSON and grandson Chester Wilson intend leaving the first of June for Salt Lake City, Utah. Mrs. Dixson goes to visit her parents and Mrs. Wilson goes to see her son, Master Chester's father.
