The McLouth Times Friday March 17, 1950 Mrs. J. W. Rice. Funeral services for Mrs. J. W. RICE were held Friday afternoon February 24 at the Lebo Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Burial wa in Lincoln Cemetery. Music was furnished by Mrs. Morris Ott and Mrs. Dan C. Evans with Mrs. Charles W. Knight as accompanist at the organ. Songs were, "It Is Well With My Soul," and "Safe In The Arms of Jesus." Casket bearers were, Charles W. Knight, W.W. Traylor, M.L. Bailey, C.H. Hottle, T.C. Blue and Dan C. Evans. Nettie A. ZABRISKIE daughter of Zeno and Gertrude Zabriskie was born November 11, 1862, in Rock Island County, Ill. Death came to her at her home in Lebo, Kansas on February 22, 1950. She was eighty seven years, three months, eleven days of age. She came to Kansas with her family in a covered wagon when she was five years of age. Their first home in the state was at McLouth. Her she grew to womanhood, and on Dec. 24, 1882 was united in marriage to J.W. Rice also of McLouth. To this union six children were born. The family moved from McLouth to Ness County in 1913 and two years later to the Lebo community, where Mr. Rice was in business. Mrs. Rice joined the Methodist Church in 1883 and remained a loyal and valued member all her life.
