The McLouth Times Jefferson County Friday December 30, 1949 Jess Sheldon Dies. Jsess SHELDON, 58, died Monday morning at the home of his son, Dan Sheldon, near Dunavant. He was born in Jefferson county and was a lifelong resident of that county. Besides his son, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Ruth Sheldon of Topeka; two brothers, Will and Len Sheldon, McLouth, and a sister, Mrs. Anna GIBBS, Oskaloosa. The funeral was at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Oskaloosa Methodist church with interment in Pleasant View cemetery. The body was in state at the Hampton Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral.
