The McLouth Times Friday August 18, 1950 Edmonds Reunion. The fourth annual reunion of the Thomas EDMONDS family was held at the Edmonds chapel, north of McLouth, August 6, with 95 present. The eleven o'clock sermon was delivered by the Rev. Paul Life, pastor of Edmonds Chapel. Special music for the morning service was furnished by Mrs. Jerry Fuqua and Mrs. Eldon Ferris of McLouth and Bob Edmonds of Kansas City. A basket dinner was enjoyed at noon in the church basement by all present. Mrs. Clarence KELL was in charge of the afternoon service. A short business meeting was held and election of officers for the coming year. Those elected were: President, Milt Edmonds; Vice President, Jess Shepherd; Secretary, Mrs. Victor Edmonds; Treasurer, Mrs. Bud Lukens. It was decided to have the reunion next year the first Sunday in August. They paid tribute to Rachel Edmonds, the honary president, who is the oldest member. The youngest member was Edwin Waldo Edmonds, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph J. Edmonds, and grandson of Ralph Waldo Edmonds. There were several musical numbers in the afternoon by Beverly Edmonds of Oskaloosa, Bob Edmonds, Kansas City, Rosalea Edmonds, Leavenworth, Ralph Edmonds and Ralph J. Edmonds, McLouth. The ones coming the greatest distance was Mrs. Harry Sims, Salina, daughter of Tabor Edmonds. The meeting closed with the singing of "God Be With You Till We Meet Again" and the Rev. Ira N.H. Brammel, Perry, leading the prayer.
