The Valley Falls Vindicator Jefferson County Wednesday May 27, 1942 Mrs. Amelia GETTLER, 77, a former resident of Valley Falls, Kansas, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara EDWINSON, 219 East Eleventh, in Topeka. One daughter and her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Edwinson and Mrs. L. E. DAVIDSON, of Topeka; Mrs. Turner HOOPER of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Earl SMITH, of Valley Falls; six sons, Joe Gettler of Milwaukee, Wisc., Antone Gettler of Topeka, Ben Gettler of Topeka, Will Gettler of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Frank Gettler of Alhambra, Calif., Elmer Gettler of Tribune, Kansas; 43 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gettler is the last of her family of brothers and sisters, which consisted of eight. Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 22, at the Catholic church in Valley Falls. Burial in the cemetery there. Card of Thanks. We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for their kind sympathy during the time of need in sickness and death of our loving mother.
