    3. The Valley Falls Vindicator Jefferson County Wednesday July 30, 1941 Mrs. Chas. Brock Dies At Nortonville. Mrs. Charles A. BROCK, 70, died last Wednesday night at her home in Nortonville, after being ill six months with various complications. She spent her entire lifetime in the Nortonville and Potter vicinities. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Methodist church in Nortonville with the Rev. C.E. Nash in charge. Interment was in the Nortonville cemetery. Before her marriage to Charles A. Brock, June 4, 1891, Mrs. Brock was Miss Flora Ann MAUZEY. She was a daughter of Lafayette and Sarah Ann Mauzey, early pioneers, and was born on a farm near Potter, March 10, 1871. She and Mr. Brock, who is a very well known trader, have lived in Nortonville since 1903. Mrs. Brock was a member of the Nortonville Methodist church and a teacher in its Sunday school more than 25 years. She was greatly beloved by the people of Nortonville and had many friends in both Atchison and Jefferson counties. Surviving besides her husband are her daughter, Mrs. Edith LANTER, of the home; a brother, Oscar Mauzey, Nortonville and two grandchildren, Keith and Dorothy Jean Lanter.
