The Valley Falls Vindicator Jefferson County Wednesday July 9, 1941 Richard Ross Allen. Richard Ross ALLEN, aged 32, died Tuesday, June 24 at the Clay Center hospital. Mr. Allen was born at Rock Creek, Jefferson county, Kansas, in 1908. He lived there until he was 9 years old and then moved to Topeka with his family. He lived in Topeka until he started to work for the Hill Packing company at Clay Center. The body was brought to Horton where the funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian church. Rev. I. C. Jones was in charge of the services. The body was taken to Valley Falls for burial. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Margaret LEE of Rocky Ford, COlo., Mrs. Helen LINCOLN, of Topeka, and Mrs. Wynona ARNOLD of Bellview, Kansas. There are also three brothers--Dan and David of Horton and Thomas of Topeka as well as many other relatives.--Tri County News.
