The Valley Falls Vindicator Jefferson County Wednesday July 10, 1940 Davison--Whitaker. The wedding of Miss Jane DAVISON, McLouth, Kas., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Davison, of McLouth, Kas., and Mr. Max WHITAKER of Nortonville, Kas., took place Saturday, June 29, at 8:00 o'clock at the McLouth United Brethren church with the Rev. Harry Sims officiating. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Ruth SCHAEFFER, accompanied by Miss Margaret STEEPER, played a series of violin numbers. Miss Mary Elizabeth BLAIR sang two number, "Because" and "At Dawning." Mrs. Paul BRACHMAN, sister of the bride was the maid of honor, and Miss Donis McDERMOND and Miss Miriam KIMMEL were bridesmaids. Mr. Paul BRACKMAN, husband of the bride's sister acted as best man to the groom and the ushers were Mr. William and Robert MOSER, friends of the groom. The bride wore a gown of ivory bridal satin with a sweet heart neckline, close fitting sleeves and a long circular train. Her full length tulle veil fell from a satin halo. She carried a bouquet of white madonna lilies. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the church for the guests which included relatives and many friends. The couple are now at their home in Nortonville, Kas. (Note: Typed as printed in newspaper.)
