The marriage of Miss Donna Lee THOMPSON to Mr. Guy Reynolds SHULTZ of Lawrence took place Sunday afernoon at 4 o'clock at the First Christian Church in Lawrence. Donna Lee is the daughter of Mrs. Nan PIPER of Oakland, Calif., and Walter THOMPSON of Lawrence. Mr. Shultz is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. Shultz of Lawrence. The Rev. Harold G. Barr, pastor of the church, read the service and Miss Clarkson, church organist, played the wedding music and the accompanient for Mrs. Greever Allan of Tonganoxie, who sang preceding the ceremony. The chancel of the church was decorated with ferns and pink and white gladioli. The bride, a slender brunette, was charming in gown of white satin, fashioned with fitted bodies with sweetheart neckline and long sleeves with lace panel inserts. The long circular skirt ended in a short train which was trimmed with a panel of lace. Her fingertip veil fell from a halo of white satin, and she carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. Her attendants were the bride's cousin, Mrs. Wilma Sumpter, of Oskaloosa. Mrs. Don Shultz and Miss Virginia Shultz were gowned in blue floor length marqauisette dresses and Mrs. Shultz was frocked in peach marquisette. All wore flower clusters in their hair. Mr. Frank Reusch was best man for Mr. Shultz, and Mr. Allyn Underwood and Mr. Dan Bruce ushered. Mrs. Piper and Mrs. Shultz, mothers of the young couple, were gowned in navy blue sheer, with matching accessories and corsage bouquets of gardenias. The ceremony was followed by a reception held in the church parlors, with Mrs. Frank Reusch, Miss Betty Mae Shultz and Miss Gertrude Shultz assisting. Mr. Shultz and his bride left on a brief honeymoon trip and on their return will be at home in Lawrence, while their new farm home north of Lawrence is being completed. Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Delk, Mrs. Dola Thompson, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shultz of Valley Falls were guests at the wedding.
