The Valley Falls New Era Thursday July 28, 1910 Carl WETTIG, who is staying with his grandma McNORTON at North Cedar, was driving home the cows when one of them surged against his foot, twisting it on the side of the pong he was riding and severely spraining his ankle. Dr. J.M. MARKS is attending the injury. Chas. KILE, who lives on the Robinson farm east of town had quite a fire scare Wednesday. The house caught fire, but was put out before a great amount of damage was done. Some bedclothes were burned. The fire was caused by a defective flue stop. Mrs. Al. GOODMAN, a former resident of Valley Falls, visited old griends here this week the guest of Mrs. Mell LEGLER. Her home for several years has been at Cody, Wyoming, but with her youngest sone, Walter, she expects to make her future home in Lincoln, where Walter will attend college.
