James WOOLF of Lake View brought the first water mellons of the season to Perry Wednesday of last week. Jas. A. JOHNSON stopped off in Perry Wednesday while on his way to his home in Laton, Calif., from a visit in Indiana. He visited here a few days with his old friends. John MORGAN has resigned his position with Sheppard & Son and will move back to Lawrence and rumors say that he will take charge of the West End Grocery which is said to have been purchased by Ed. T. ARNOLD.
