Hello Nickie, I will add some records that appear likely to apply to your Anthony W. Meyers/Myers family. Keep in mind that the names and dates/ages seem to indicate a connection, but there is no proof of that relationship in the records I quote. 1875 Kansas census, Jefferson Co., Delaware Twp. A. W. Meyers, age 54, b. N.C., to KS from IND Rebecca Meyers, age 43, b. IN, to KS from IN Anthony Meyers, age 18, b. IN Jerome Meyers, age 14, b. IN Columbus Meyers, age 13, b. IN Ira Meyers, age 11, b. IN John Meyers, age 10, b. KS Foster Meyers, age 8, b. KS Rebecca Meyers, age 5, b. KS From above it would indicate the family moved to Kansas about 1865, but there is no record of them in the 1865 Jefferson Co. census. They may have resided elsewhere in Kansas or just missed the census record. Anthony W. Meyers, b. 19 Aug. 1819, buried Rose Hill cemetery, Valley Falls, KS A. W. Myers recorded as owner of 80 acres of land in 1876 in section 33, twp. 8, range 18. This is southeast of Valley Falls. If you wish, I can pursue when purchased and when sold, by doing research at the court house. Rebecca Meyers, also buried Rose Hill cemetery. Belle Dora Myers, age 18, married 23 Oct. 1873 to William R. Faulk, age 22. (Book B, page 300) Anthony Wayne Meyers, d. 27 Dec. 1925, bur. Rose Hill cemetery. There is no probate record for this person. Jerome D. Myers, age 22, married on 1 Feb. 1882 to Minnie Jackson, age 19, at Valley Falls. (Book E, page 6) Jerome D. Myers filed for divorce on 2 Mar. 1899 from Minnie (Jackson) Myers. Case # 4294. [Note: This is a filing for divorce and I can not tell from the index if it was granted or even if actuall sustained to a hearing.] Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Myers had a son on 10 Aug. 1893 as reported in the Valley Falls New Era of 19 Aug. 1893. No name given. This is a different year than any you have, but it may have been Earl a year earlier than your list. Christopher C. Myers, age 19, married 15 May 1881 to Sarah F. Faulk, age 17. (Book C, page 306) There is a probate record No. 2343 for A. F. Myers. Could this be the Austin Myers you report, but be listed in the 1875 census as Foster. Maybe Austin Foster Myers?? Again would have to research at the court house to determine if any more information is available. Alice R. Myers, age 21, of Valley Falls married __ June 1891 to Hillery Z. Monnett, age 20, of Valley Falls. (Book F, page 105) This agrees with age of 5 on the 1875 census, indicating she was born in 1870. Death records--Alice Monnett, b. 7 Apr. 1872, d. 7 Apr. 1892, buried Spring Grove cemetery, wife of Hillery Monnet. [This birth date seems likely in error. It was probably copied from tombstone and may have not been clear.] I have found nothing relating to your question of maiden name for Rebecca. The next time I'm at the Gen. Soc. library, I will check the obituaries on file to see what we might have regarding either Rebecca or Anthony. That would be our best lead from what I see at this point. You also indicate that Sarah F. Faulk was born in Winchester, Leavenworht County. Note that Winchester is actually in Jefferson Co. rather than Leavenworth. It might be possible for someone to have a Winchester mailing address, but live across the line in Leavenworth Co. Let me know if you have questions or suggestions of what else I might check.
