    3. The Valley Falls New Era Thursday August 25, 1910 Denison Items. Dr. FOSTER will move to Valley Falls September first. Mrs. M.J. McDONALD arrived home from a six weeks stay in Atchison county Saturday. Mrs. Addie McDONALD and children of Colby, Kansas, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. SEWELL. W.R. TURNER and Alex WILLS have gone to Canada where the former has land. They will be home this week. Miss Ollie BOYLES has taken the place of Miss Alice NISSLEY in the office of chief telephone dispatcher, Mrs. RICE. Charlie DAVIDSON was called to Osborne, Kansas, last week by the death of Mrs. Davidson's mother. Mrs. Davidson was unable to go on account of illness. Mrs. STINSON quit the dray service sometime ago and a Mr. DOOLITTLE was employed by Mr. DECKER until the time when Will HOAG will take charge of the dray route. The telephone switch board is in need of some repairs as is shown by the very poor service give the patrons the past few weeks. Some of the country lines are also sadly in need of some work. Nona MONTGOMERY and Ethel WILLIAMSON are visiting Raymond MONTGOMERY in Topeka this week. A.B. CLINE is also in Topeka and Mrs. Nettie MONTGOMERY returned from there Saturday. A number of young people enjoyed a social at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose PATTERSON evening. James PATTERSON is home for Tpoeka and assisted in entertaining the guests.
