    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday February 3, 1965 W. Langston Dies At 87. Services will be at 2 p.m Thursday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary and at 4 p.m. Thursday at Valley Falls Methodist Church for William LANGSTON, 87, who died Tuesday at his home, 415 Oakley, after a long illness. Burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery. He was born May 29, 1877 in Atchison County and had lived in Topeka since 1942. He was a retired employe of Topeka State Hospital. Earlier he wa a farmer and a carpenter. He attended the Christian Church and was a member of IOOF Lodge. He was a member of American War Dads 20 years. A son, William Langston, Jr., died four years ago. Survivors include his wife, Miss Lillie Langston, at home; two sons, Claude Langston, Valley Falls, and George Langston, Oakland, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Mabel METZGER, Mrs. Marie BROWN and Mrs. Leona CURTIS, all of Valley Falls; a stepson, Mack KARNES, 508 Horne; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Glen JONES, 2417 Central Park, Mrs. Bill Mathieu, Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Earl WASHBURN, Osage City; two brothers, Frank Langston, 705 Poplar, and Walter Langston, Independence, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
