    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday June 16, 1910 Ed. Bechtel Married. >From the Muskogee, Times-Democrat, Okla., we clip the following wedding notice. Mr Bechtel and his sister, Mrs. IRVIN were for many years residents of Valley Falls. Bechtel--Anderson. Wednesday evening at the home of the groom's brother-in-law, Mr. W.S. Irvin, 1115 Georgetown avenue, Mr. Edward E. BECHTEL and Miss Lillian Gertrude ANDERSON were united in marriage, James K. Thompson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. There were present as witnesses only, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Irvin. Mr. Bechtel is a contractor of some note, and prominent in fraternity circles; for some time being a state organizer for the A.O.U.W., of which he has for some years been an active member. Mrs. Bechtel is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.J. ANDERSON of Caschion, Okla., and was prominent in social and literary circles in the western portion of the state. The wedding while previously announced, was yet a surprise in the matter of time and place to the many friends of the contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. Bechtel will be at home to friends after June 12th at 1613 W. Okmulgee avenue.
