The McLouth Times Jefferson County Friday August 13, 1909 The death of Frank EDMONDS at Excelsior Springs, Monday evening was a sad ennding to a trip to regain lost health. Mr. Edmonds in company with his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Edmonds had gone to the Springs two weeks before but was unable to get relief from his trouble. Sunday evening a message came that Frank was very low and Mrs. Edmonds and their oldest son, Milt Edmonds and Harry GENSLER went Sunday night with Albert WILKINS in his big touring car. They left here about 11 o'clock and arrived at Excelsior at 6 o'clock next morning and we understand that Mr. Edmonds knew them. Tuesday morning they brought hime home on the 11 o'clock train. The remains wre taken to the home north of town Tuesday afternoon and the funeral was held at the Edmonds church Wednesday at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. E. McAferty. The burial was at Fowler cemetery. Frank Edmonds was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him and his untimely death was indeed a sad blow to his family and relatives.
