The McLouth Times Friday October 1, 1909 Stanwood items. Ross ADAMS and daughter, Miss Belle, of Hazel Ridge, attended church here Sunday. Mrs. Harmon ADAMS, son of and daughter of Wellman, attended church and visited relatives here Sunday. Mrs. Walter SMITH and little son, Ray, of Wellman, came over Saturday to visit her parents, John HAWORTH and wife returning home Sunday evening. Thomas EDMONDS who was taken to the Bethany hospital at Kansas City last week was reported worse and his wife and children were called to his beside Saturday but they returned to say Mr. Edmonds was a little better. Mr. and Mrs. A.T. JONES and children of Hazel Ridge attended quarterly meeting here Saturday. Last Monday afternoon while Alfred JONES, the 14 year old son of J.H. JONES was cutting corn with a sled, his foot in some manner slipped in front of the knife on the sled and cut quite a gash in the back part of the leg just above the heel. Dr. Gephart was called and dressed the wound and he is getting along nicely. Mrs. J.A. EDMONDS and daughter of McLouth spent Saturday and Sunday with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin SWAIN. J.H. JONES and family spent Sunday afternoon with Dick CARR of Wild Horse.
