The Oskaloosa Times Jefferson County Friday April 7, 1899 A Hero Laid To Rest. The body of Reuben INGLE, who was killed in Santigao de Cuba, in the late war, arrived in Perry last Monday and was buried in the Underwood cemetery at Williamstown, last Tuesday. The funeral services were conducted at the grave by Rev. McCoy. The body wa in a hermetically sealed coffin, subsequently the relatives were unable to see the remains, which makes the death of the young man doubly hard for the bereaved family to bear. Our sympathy goes out to them in their dreary hours of affliction. It was indeed a sad home coming for those dear to the brave young soldier.
