    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday April 14, 1910 Death of Mrs. Hochstatler. After a short illness, Mrs. Wm. HOCHSTATLER died on the Reese farm Friday, April 8, 1910, aged 22 years last February. She was much loved by all who knew her and was well prepared with all church ceremonies, and the fulfillment of her worldly duties to meet her Heavenly Father. With her mother, Mrs. STINE, she came to Templeton, Iowa, where they resided and where she was united in marriage to Wm. Hochstatler, Feb. 18, 1908. A year ago they moved to Valley Falls, Kansas. To this union one daughter, Rosanna, was born. Besides her husband and child she leaves to mourn, her mother, two sisters, Katie Stine and Mrs. Anna MACKIE, all of Templeton, Iowa, and one brother, Peter Stine of Valley Falls. Those from abroad who attended the funeral, which was held from the Catholic church, Monday morning, Father Anthony officiating in the soleman presence of a large congregation, were mother Stine and daughter Kate, and Mary Hochstatler, of Templeton, Iowa, Rannard Theilen and Joe Hansom of Chanute, Kansas. The burial was in the new Catholic cemetery in Oak Hill east of town.
