The Nortonville News Jefferson County Friday May 8, 1942 Canonica--Greene. From Valley Falls Vindicator. Miss Kathryn Alice CANONICA and Ira Frank GREENE, both of Jackson, Calif., were married in Reno, Nev., March 30. They were attended by Miss Angeline SUCICH of Jackson and were accompanied as far as Sacramento on the homeward trip by Mr. and Mrs. Donald MESSINGER of Oakland. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Canonica of Jackson and is a very popular member of the Young People Society there. She was vice president of the B.T. Association and publicity manager of the Mt. Girls. Mrs. Greene has taken part in several plays and benefits for the welfare of people in Jackson and throughout Amador county, Calif. She attended the Jackson schools. Mr. Greene is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Greene of Valley Falls. He was graduated from the Valley Falls high school in 1939. While in school he was very active in athletics. He has been in California for some time and for the past year has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Harold BECK of Jackson. Mr. Greene left two weeks ago for induction into military service and is now located at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Mrs. Greene is making her home for the present with her sister and husband in San Francisco. (Ira was born at Nortonville and is a nephew of Mrs. Herman BABCOCK.)
