The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday April 14, 1910 Death of Mrs. Jane Hughan. After a lingering illness Mrs. Jane HUGHAN, died at the home of Mrs. Hattie RATZ, Wednesday morning in her 84th year. She with her husband John Hughan, was a pioneer in this vicinity. For 55 years she has lived on the old farm east of town, with her faithful and dutiful son George. For more than 50 years she was widow. The funeral was held from the Congregational Church Thursday afternoon, Rev. Drake officiating at the services. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
