The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday September 30, 1909 Death of Grandma Bean. Mrs. Margaret BEAN familiarly known as grandma Bean, aged 91 years, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. McKANNA, in Russel county. Was brought here and buried by the side of her husband, Reuben Bean. Deceased had formerly lived in this vicinity many years and was widely known and loved. Rev. Jesse Zabriskie preached her funeral at Methodist church, Friday, the edifice was filled with mourning relatives and friends. Her son George BEAN and family, Mrs. BUCKLEY of Armourdale, McKANNAS from Luray, Russel county, the JUDY's, GARDNER's, HOUSH, GWARTNEY's, and other well known people of Jefferson county attende the funeral.
