    3. The Valley Falls New Era Thursday October 27, 1910 Injured Hip. John O. BOOTH is confined to his home with a broken hip rim of the femur socket and slight dislocation of the femur joint. He attend the political meeting at the opera house last Friday night and in retiring fell down the front steps. He was picked up by friends and taken home in a buggy by Dr. J. M. Marks and given emergency treatment. Putting the patient under the influence of an anaesthetic Saturday morning, Dr. Marks reduced the fracture and dislocation. Though the injury is major the progress is favorable and Mr. Booth hopes to be out on crutches at least, in a few weeks. He is 70 years of age, but has the grit to withstand a more severe accident. The injury is in his left hip.
