The Topeka Daily Capital Monday August 2, 1965 John A. Yost, 84, Perry, Dies Here. Perry.--John A. YOST, 84, Perry, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital after a short illness. He was born Dec. 6, 1880, near Perry and had lived in the Perry community all his life. He was a retired farmer and served as Jefferson County Cimmissioner from 1948 to 1956. He was member of the Perry Methodist Church and the AF and AM Masonic Lodge. His wife, Mary E. Yost, died in 1941. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Eula YOST, of the home; two brothers, Leonard A. Yost, 2004 N. Kansas, Topeka, and William A. Yost, McLouth. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Perry Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Perry. Hampton Funeral Home is Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements.
