STEFFEY shipped a carload of cows to Kansas Cioty Monday evening. The little boy of Chas. CURRIER's is reported quite sick by Dr. Puberbaugh. C.H. ABBOTT returned from Olathe, Thursday evening and as the line gang of the Santa Fe is off until March 19, he will be here until then. Mrs. Lizzie JOHNSON and family left Thursday morning to join her husband at Leavenworth where he is employed in a llivery and hack barn. Instead of it being Topeka as reported where Judge ABBOTT was on business last week, he informs us it was in Coffey Co., and the business was a real estate deal. Frank METZGER and hands left the first of the week, for his sawmill down on Big Slough creek. He reports a yard full of logs, and that, of course, with the fine weather makes him smile.
