McKERNEY has been quick sick, but is better at this present writing. Philip BECKER, of Rock Creek, visited this locality last week for the purpose of buying a farm. The little son of Wesley PENCE has been very sick but is improving under the skillful treatment of Dr. COLE. Mrs. A.W. YOUNG will leave for Holton Thursday, where she will spend a few days with friends and relatives.
