    3. The Oskaloosa Times Friday March 2, 1900 Small-Pox Near Oskaloosa. Dr. Marlin McCREIGHT reports several severe cases of small-pox about eight miles south west of town, in the Josh CUNNINGS' neighborhood. The following families are down: HUNT,NORTH and CUNNINGS. Young Hunt was the first to have the disease and the other families visited at his home before they knew what was the matter with him. The doctor has secured a number of pictures of his patients and they can be seen at the Gold Mortar Drugstore. So far there has been no deaths and the doctor expects to save the entire number.
