Over ten years ago I did quite a bit of research on the Isaacs Family in Jefferson County, KS. Richard's (second or third?) wife was Elizabeth Isaacs. I was doing the research for Sandra Harris of California. This is a link to the WorldConnect database she put up. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2087173&id=I12 There are also about 10 others databases with some informtion on Richard Beeler. Sandra's email address is posted with the database. You may want to contact her. This is a link to an on line biographical sketch published in 1883 in Cutler's History of Kansas (you may need to scroll down a bit) http://www.kancoll.org/books/cutler/jefferson/jefferson-co-p24.html#KAW_TOWNSHIP My memory is that there is also an obituary in the Topeka newspapers. Another researcher found it for Sandra, as I could not find one if Jefferson County, KS. Seems to me that I did look it up one time when I was at the KSHS library. Elazibeth's will is microfilmed, I remember reading it and some of the probate notes. You can ILL the film from the Kansas State Historical Society. Let me know if you need a link to look up the film number. I also remember going up to the Grantville Cemetery once. I think I took some pictures for Sandra, but that particular memory escapes me. There were a few Isaacs buried in both portions of the cemetery. I do not recall seeing a grave for Richard though. All of my on line notes for this research are gone, as the board we were using back then is long gone. :(( Dave Goldy Overland Park, KS Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
