HAAF, 55, Valley Falls, died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday at the Sycamore Care Home which he owned and operated here. He was born Feb. 6, 1910 at Arrington and had lived at Valley Falls 25 years. He served six years as postmaster at Valley Falls and was Jefferson County chairman of the Republican Party several years. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Arrington and the Valley Falls Masonic Lodge No. 21, AF&AM. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Haaf, at home; two daughtes, Mrs. Patricia BROWN, 2121 Pennsylvania, Topeka and Debbi Haaf, at home; a son, Ens. Philip Haaf, U.S. Navy at sea out of New York City; a brother, Max Haaf, Ulysses; a sister, Mrs. Mary DODGE, Greensbury; and two grandchildren. Hagge Funeral Home at Valley Falls is in charge of arrangements.
