    3. The Valley Falls New Era Jefferson County Thursday June 2, 1910 Freeman A. SCOVILLE was born in Wheeling, Ill., June 5th, 1849, moved with his parents to Kansas in 1866. He was united in marriage to Miss Jennie MAXFIELD, Feb. 26th, 1879. To this union were born five children, three boys and two girls, Frank, Lee, Mabel, Grace and Herbert. For a number of years Brother Scoville followed railroading but of later years he was engaged in farming. He departed this life May the 28th, 1910, at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 23 days. The funeral was conducted at his home in the presence of a host of friends by Rev. Tinnell of Arrington, Kans. After the services the body was tenderly laid to rst in the Larkin cemetery to await the judgement day. May God take care of the bereft ones and be a husband to the widow and a father to the orphans. And may God help them to bridge over this gulf of grief. Card of Thanks.
