    3. The Valley Falls New Era Thursday July 29, 1909 Isaac HULL, wife, daughter Jennie and grand daughter Marvalee KINNEY have gone to Waverly to visit John HULL and family and Mrs. Carrie KINNEY. Mrs. W.H. PATTERSON has gone to Joplin, Mo., to visit a sick daughter, Mrs. SPILLER. Sheriff W.H. BANNING of Douglas county and City Marshal Syd HURD of Lawrence were in Perry one day last week looking for a clothes thief. Banning is a son of Mrs. Chas. McCOY of Rock Creek and attend the Thompsonville school when a boy and has many friends up this way. Mrs. Abe HAY and Mrs. Mort DAVIS and daughter Kathleen were thrown from a buggy a week ago Sunday by their horse running away. Mrs. Hay was serverely hurt and her collar bone broken, the break being a sloping one that is hard to hold in positioin. Dr. KERR of Lecompton is attending her. The others escaped with a general shake up.
