    3. The Oskaloosa Times Friday May 19, 1899 P.B. STANLEY has returned from Hot Springs, Ark., after an extended absence. Otto FISCHER and Billy SPALDING came up from Lawrence yesterday to see how the store was getting along. Miss Anna CARTER came up from her home near Tonganoxie today, and is visiting her sister, Mrs. Arthur McDUFFEE. H.D. HALL, who has been visiting his mother north of town for a month past, will start for his home at Cascade, Montana, in a few days. Harve JOHNSON has just received word that his son Harry, with Co. C. of the 29th Kansas Volunteers at Manila, has been shot through the arm. The wound is not serious however.
