DICK passed through town Tuesday, with a nice herd of Hereford cattle that he had just purchased. Chas. LOW lost a good horse last Thursday. He had been plowing in the field and had just unhitched and started home, to escape the rain, when the horse fell dead without warning of being sick. John STEFFEY lost a good work horse Thursday. His son was harrowing in the field, when the team became frightened, overturning a section of the harrow and one of the horse was thrown onto the harrow in such a manner that eight of the teeth penetrated its sides and it had to be shot.
